ABOUT SIOLIM
Siolim is a coastal village which lies on the south bank of the Chapora River,
which meets the Arabian Sea, forming a large bay. It is a busy and picturesque town,
with many beautiful but undiscovered walks and cycle treks, sprawling through evergreen
paddy fields (a must for bird lovers), coconut groves, and sunset coves. Siolim is
also renowned for its festivals, Christian and Hindu, and the best Feni in Goa!
As an interesting contrast, close by is the crowded "Italian" port of Chapora and the
trendy bar-laden Vagator. Also, the very touristy Calangute is only 8 km away.
